From November 5, 2025, the 19th edition of the art supermarket invites art lovers to the heart of Vienna, specifically to Mariahilfer Straße 103. Until mid-March, around 6,000 original works will be on display here, with price ranges between 69 and 359 euros. Anyone who would like to enjoy the babble of creativity has the opportunity to explore a diverse selection of drawings, watercolors, photographs, as well as acrylic and oil paintings.
The idea of the art supermarket, which has been opening its doors in various cities since 1998, is to make art accessible to everyone. This time around 90 artists, from young talents to established names, are exhibiting their works. The exhibition includes around 300 pictures, which can be seen in a changing presentation on the walls. The remaining works are focused in special boxes so that each artist has their own individual box to present their own work. New additions include Helga Madera from Tyrol and Wolfgang Huhs from Graz, as well as international talents such as the German Yvonne Medrala and the Spaniards Montse Roldos and Paula Font.
Artistic diversity and affordability
Particular attention is paid to the goal of the art supermarket: art should be something that everyone can experience. Therefore, the works are not only exhibited, but can also be selected, framed and taken away. “The art supermarket promotes direct access to contemporary art and its acquisition,” explains the organizer of the concept, who has been committed to the visibility of young and renowned artists since the beginning. The art supermarket's range has changed dramatically over the years, with over 30,000 exhibits and more than 175 participating artists to date.
