Bank break-in in Liesing: Perpetrators flee with stolen e-scooter!

On the night of June 7, 2025, there was a suspected break-in in a bank foyer in Vienna-Liesing. At around 10 p.m., previously unknown perpetrators broke into a coin counting machine and triggered an alarm. The police were able to arrest a 15-year-old Austrian during an immediate manhunt, while another suspect is still on the run.

The stolen e-scooter has since been recovered. Investigations are now being carried out by the Vienna State Criminal Police Office, South Branch. The police are doing everything they can to catch the second perpetrator as quickly as possible and to clarify the background to the break-in.
