Vienna awakens summer: Starting holiday games in the Danube Park!

Innere Stadt, Wien, Österreich - Summer in Vienna is getting colorful, loud and active! All 23 districts of the city have teamed up to set up an exciting holiday game program for children aged 1 to 14 years. Over 140 events are waiting for the little explorers. The start begins with a big starting festival in the Danube Park on June 28 and 29, where numerous hands-on stations and live acts provide entertainment from 2 to 7 p.m. Whether trampoline jumping, a wheelchair course or a climbing tower-here is something for everyone, as meinzirk.at reports.

The versatile offers also include special highlights such as the "Hollis Gräzltour" with active bicycles and the "Curtain on in the Park" project, which combines theater, music and circus. But not only the little adventurers get their money's worth; Parents can look forward to a wide range of free and inexpensive actions that take place throughout the summer in the different districts.

registration and information

Registration is required for some events. Interested parties should therefore carefully consider the information about the respective activities in advance. An important component of the program is also the event "Wienopolis - purely into the town hall", which takes place from August 18 to August 22. With this highlight, the children design their own city. Information on all events and the option for registration are available online at Ferienpiel.at and in the children's active app. Printed holiday play passes are distributed in many schools in Vienna.

A current survey by wienxtra.at takes up the opinions of families to the children's active campaigns. Among other things, the importance of the vicinity of the event location and the costs for participation are asked. The willingness to use the digital children's active app instead of the printed brochure is also on the debate. The organizers want to ensure that all information is available quickly and easily.

media consumption in focus

digital media increasingly accompany children and young people in their everyday life. In order not to ignore this aspect, a supplementary booklet from wienxtra.at suggestions for the reflection of one's own media consumption. The handout contains exercises that are suitable for both individual filling out and group work and help to develop awareness of media use.

The start of the summer can come! Families can look forward to creative and active weeks that not only fun, but also offer the opportunity to make new friendships and get to know the city from a completely new perspective. Where and how will the next adventure trip begin?
