Christmas tree campaign: Experience good deeds for Upper Carinthian families!
The magic of Christmas in Upper Carinthia is just around the corner and with it the Rotary Club Spittal's popular Christmas tree campaign. This year, this initiative is taking place for the seventh time and has established itself as an integral part of the Advent season. The proceeds from the sale benefit needy families in the region. It is a matter of the heart for the members of the club, who with a lot of commitment and personal commitment ensure that the light of hope shines even in difficult times.
The campaign starts with the sale of Christmas tree vouchers, which can be redeemed for trees from the sustainably managed Christmas tree crops of the Dornbach estate, run by the Irsa family in the Malta Valley. The trees are grown locally and harvested without any chemical treatments. This means buyers can be sure they are purchasing a high quality product that not only looks good but is also environmentally friendly. Last year, the sales proceeds reached around 5,000 euros, which went directly into social projects, which motivates the members even more to exceed the result this year. The current president of the Rotary Club, Erfried Bäck, emphasizes the importance of supporting disadvantaged children and adults and that every purchase makes a difference.
Invitation to Christmas spirit
On December 13th, a special invitation will be extended to everyone interested: The Rotary Club Spittal invites you to warm drinks in the picturesque Dornbach Castle. This warm atmosphere is intended not only to encourage anticipation of Christmas, but also to strengthen a sense of community in the region. A voucher worth 40 euros entitles you to purchase a Christmas tree up to a height of 1.50 meters; Larger copies can also be purchased for an additional fee.
This Christmas tree campaign is more than just a sales event. It is a true example of the strength and solidarity that Rotary clubs promote worldwide. According to Rotary.de, clubs in Germany carry out an average of six social projects every year and contribute to supporting their communities with their financial performance. Members around the world commit tens of thousands of hours of volunteer work to strengthen social cohesion and promote social innovation.
So if you want to do something good this Advent season and at the same time decorate your home festively, stop by and support the Spittal Rotary Club's Christmas tree campaign. Together we can help ensure that the magic of Christmas can also enter the homes of families in need.
