On Wednesday, June 11, 2025, the new legislative period of the Floridsdorf district council was officially opened. A total of 60 district councilors were praised in a well -attended meeting. Particularly gratifying for the SPÖ: District head Georg Papai was confirmed in his office with impressive 94 percent. At his side, Josef Fischer remains as a deputy, while Sabine Mareda newly moves into the position of the district chief deputy.

Another interesting aspect of this session was the choice of Karin Tomanek-Ambrozy (SPÖ) as the new chairman of the district council.
