In the shadow of a disturbing crime in Vienna-Floridsdorf, the verdict was made. A 52-year-old Slovak was sentenced to life in prison on June 5, 2025 at the regional court for murder of a 91-year-old woman. This shocking crime occurred on the night of September 4, 2024, when the accused broke into a garden shed to attack the alone pensioner and kill her terribly and to exercise sexualized violence.

With a pipe tongs, the perpetrator opened the door lock of the garden house and penetrated. In the bedroom he attacked the sleeping woman, hit her with pliers and then suffocated her with a cushion. According to the forensic medical report, the woman was brutally tortured for several minutes during her death. After the crime, the man robbed money and jewelry before returning to Slovakia.

After his release, he continued his criminal career in Austria and was sentenced to a further 13 years in prison in 2008 for robberies in older women. At the beginning of 2024 he was released in Slovakia and returned to Vienna just a few months later, in September of the same year.
