On the night of Tuesday, November 18, 2025, a devastating fire broke out in the popular trendy club “Club Village” on Daumegasse, Vienna-Favoriten. When the fire brigade arrived, the flames were already coming out of the roof, which resulted in an alarm level 2 being declared. This ensured that sufficient emergency services could be mobilized to deal with the accident. A total of 23 fire engines with 88 personnel were deployed to fight the fire, which fortunately did not claim any lives at the time of the incident as the club was closed.

The teams mainly operated under respiratory protection and used two water cannons and six fire lines. Respiratory protection teams opened the roof with motorized rescue saws in order to be able to specifically fight the flames.

It wasn't until 9:17 a.m. that the emergency services were able to give the “fire out” response. The follow-up work continued until the early morning hours. The investigation into the cause of the fire has already begun, but there is currently no tangible information. The police are investigating here.

“This is really a serious blow for this popular institution in our area,” said one resident, concerned about the events. The club was not only a nightlife spot, but also a popular meeting place for the local youth.
