But the Greiners are not only in the spotlight on stage. Lebenshilfe Oberösterreich is actively committed to the independence of its residents in the Grein housing association and recently celebrated a social ball night in Perg, which was very well received by many Grein residents. In addition, a fire brigade exercise took place in the Lebenshilfe residential building on Brucknerstrasse. The Grein Polytechnic School started the school year with an orientation phase in order to best prepare the young people for their vocational training. This shows how important education is in the community. UTC Grein also recently celebrated the club champions in tennis, thereby setting an example for local sporting activities.

A new self-service shop called “KuliNAHrium” has been available in the town square since June, which is supplied by 100 farms - a real benefit for the local economy and the population. The newly opened “Strudengauer 9er” hiking trail, whose start and finish are in Grein, is sure to delight many nature lovers. A historical review
In another place and time, on October 31, 1984, Indira Gandhi, the Prime Minister of India, was assassinated in New Delhi. This act, carried out by her own bodyguards, followed the controversial Operation Blue Star, which claimed numerous lives and subsequently led to her murder. This historical turn is still viewed by many as a seminal event in modern India. The mourning of her loss, which began on November 1, kept many countries in mourning, and the drastic reactions following her death led to chaotic riots and widespread discussions about the political situation in India.
With a variety of events, initiatives and cultural highlights, Grein not only shows a colorful local life, but also reminds us of the lessons of history that teach us the importance of community and mutual understanding.
