Celebrities show strength: Dancer Against Cancer calendar inspires in Vienna!

A star-studded initiative that has been firmly rooted in the Vienna charity landscape for 15 years is once again making a name for itself: the CEWE Dancer Against Cancer (DAC) calendar shoot. On November 24th and 25th, prominent faces appeared in Vienna for a good cause and supported the Austrian Cancer Aid. The donations received over the last 15 years amount to an impressive 1.6 million euros and flow into therapies, consultations, psychosocial offers and the prevention of cancer, as My District reports.

This year's theme of the calendar, "Tears of Strength: Behind every tear is courage," reflects the essence of this movement. Star photographer Manfred Baumann led the shoot, where the photos were taken behind a glass wall with drops of water - a powerful symbol of strength and hope. Celebrities like Helge Payer, Silvia Schneider and Andrea Kdolsky went in front of the camera and together made a sign of solidarity. Kdolsky noted that “cancer does not automatically mean a death sentence,” while Loeffelmann was thrilled by the positive response and Baumann’s instructions.

Looking forward to the calendar and the ball

The resulting images will now be selected for the calendar, which is scheduled to be published in the spring. The focus is particularly on the presentation of the calendar at the “Dancer Against Cancer” Ball on April 18, 2026 in the Hofburg. A celebratory event is expected to focus on the commitment to cancer support and further raise awareness.

But it's not just the calendar campaigns that show that there's something going on in the Vienna charity scene. The “Christmas Melody” charity Christmas concert will take place on December 6th at the VBH Oberlisse in Gerasdorf near Vienna. Beatrice Turin and the Colorful Dancers invite everyone to an evening full of music and participation activities. Admission starts at 29 euros in advance and there is also a raffle for additional fun and chances of winning. The entire event supports the Lower Austria Cancer Aid, which is active under the umbrella of Dancer Against Cancer and is thus once again fighting for a good cause, according to Dancer Against Cancer.

Anyone who would like to take part in this valuable initiative has the opportunity to purchase tickets for the raffle online - even for those who cannot be present in person. The aim of Dancer Against Cancer and the Austrian Cancer Aid remains clear: every contribution counts and can help improve the lives of people affected by cancer.
