B&B Hotels opens seven new hotels: expansion in Germany and Austria!
The B&B Hotels Group will attract attention in the hotel industry in the third quarter of 2025. The company has successfully expanded its presence in Germany and Austria and opened seven new hotels. This happened as part of Expo Real 2025, where the growth strategy was presented. Tageskarte reports on the new locations, which not only represent an expansion of the portfolio, but were also specifically placed in strategic locations.
In Germany, the new openings can be found in cities such as Berlin with the B&B Hotel Berlin Airport-Nord, which scores points with its proximity to BER and good connections to the city center. In addition, the city of Lübeck was enriched with the B&B Hotel Lübeck-Berliner Platz, which is considered a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The northern regions can also look forward to a new hotel in Flensburg. Further locations were created in the automobile city of Zwickau and in the scenic Arnsberg region, which is attractive for both nature lovers and business guests. There is also a particular focus on Upper Austria with the B&B Hotel Linz City-Ost, which is positioned in a dynamic economic center.
Expansion and successful strategy
But it's not just in the third quarter that B&B Hotels stands out. Seven additional hotels have already been opened in the first half of 2025, including a location in Vienna-Heiligenstadt. These new openings expand the offering and are part of a promising growth strategy. [Gast](https://www.gast.at/gastro-hotel/hotellerie/ Growthskurs-bb-hotels-baut-angebot-in-europa-aus/) adds that a total of 686 new rooms were created - 120 of them in Austria.
The company combines quality with an attractive price-performance ratio and sees itself in a positive growth trend. In 2023, the chain reported an impressive 29 percent year-over-year growth. This positive development is also reflected in the strategic planning of a further 955 rooms, contracts for which are already in prospect. Tophotel highlights that B&B Hotels now operates over 750 hotels in 16 countries.
The future of B&B Hotels
Arno Schwalie, CEO Central & Northern Europe, highlights the flexibility of the B&B hotel concept. “We have a good knack for adapting to different markets,” he says, emphasizing the intention to expand to a total of 400 hotels in Germany and Austria and 3,000 hotels worldwide by 2030. These ambitions are strengthened through cooperation with local operating companies and demonstrate B&B Hotels' determination to play a significant role in the European hotel market.
With this continued expansion, which includes not only new locations but also extensive renovations of existing hotels, B&B Hotels is making it clear that they are ready to compete in the increasingly competitive hotel market. The future looks promising and the Viennese can look forward to exciting times in the hotel industry.
