There's a lot going on in the music scene at the moment. On October 10, 2025, Zero 9:36 released the third single “Withdrawals” from his highly anticipated album “They Were Always Here”. This new single celebrates the collaboration with US rapper Ekoh, which should be a breath of fresh air. The singles “Here To Bleed” and “Until The Day I” had already been released, which aroused the interest of fans. The album itself will be released on December 12, 2025 and includes a total of nine tracks, including, in addition to those already mentioned, “Make a Mess” with No Love For The Middle Child and “Leave It All Behind”.
But Zero 9:36 doesn't just have a good run musically. He will appear in the opening act of the well-known band Atreyu's “The Curse” tour in October 2025. This consists of the band of friends who create music for themselves and their community. Atreyu has had a career spanning over 20 years, releasing eight successful albums and amassing over a billion streams. Their live performances are legendary and attract numerous fans. The first show of the tour took place on October 9th in Berlin, followed by a performance on October 11th in Vienna, before the tour moves on to Munich, Aschaffenburg, Cologne and Hamburg.
“The Curse” tour and Atreyu’s return
The Curse Tour is not only an opportunity for fans to see their favorite band live, but also a new chapter in Atreyu's musical development. Their EP The Hope Of A Spark, released in 2023, marks a return with fresh sounds and addresses personal and universal themes. The opening track “Drowning” addresses the challenges of life, while “God/Devil” and the following songs reflect profound human suffering and the search for hope.
The live performance of these concentrated emotions promises an unforgettable experience for the audience. Fans of the band are welcome to become a part of this journey and build a connection through music that goes beyond the sounds.
Music through the ages
The general music industry has recovered since the 2000s, especially after 2019, recording revenue of around $29.6 billion in 2024. Even though sales of physical recordings are declining, streaming services like Spotify are experiencing exponential growth. While 85 percent of all music sales in Germany are now generated through streaming, the vinyl format is enjoying growing popularity. Over four million vinyl records were sold in Germany every year, especially to people over 40 years old. A remarkable trend that shows that enthusiasm for music is diverse and enduring.
With interesting new releases and contemporary themes in live music, the quality of the scene remains high and fans can look forward to captivating experiences, be it new albums or high-energy concerts.
