Muralia brings color to Vienna: street art agency inspires with projects!
The creative landscape is blossoming in Margareten! The street art agency Muralia has developed into a significant player in the scene in just one year. Founded by Ricarda Lassy and Nicolas Krems, Muralia aims to enrich people's lives through art and transform spaces into inspiring environments. With a strong network of over 200 street artists worldwide, including the well-known Australian Fintan Magee, the agency has already implemented numerous projects. A highlight was without a doubt the impressive work of art on one of the towers of the UN building in the Danube city. MeinBezirk reports that around 25 projects, including large projects and smaller orders, were successfully implemented in the first year.
What makes Muralia so special? The agency attaches great importance to supporting its artists, especially when it comes to overcoming bureaucratic hurdles and providing the necessary materials such as paints and scaffolding. The Muralia team, consisting of passionate street art enthusiasts from diverse backgrounds, brings extensive experience in planning and implementing art projects. Muralia also launched the non-commercial initiative Calle Libre, which has been offering artists the opportunity to design house walls and make the city more colorful since 2014 LinkedIn.
Colorful projects for the city
One of the notable projects is the “Masquerade” in Vienna’s Prater, which fascinated passers-by. Muralia sees street art not only as an art form, but also as a valuable addition to the urban landscape. Another exciting project is already in the starting blocks: three Viennese artists will work together on a new work in the Seestadt Donaustadt.
From the beginning, the agency has emphasized the importance of fair pay for artists in order to promote their creativity and ensure the quality of the projects.
Street art has long established itself as a cultural phenomenon and attracts the attention not only of art lovers, but also of tourists. Where gray concrete walls once dominated, colorful murals now bloom that tell stories and invite you to linger. Whether as part of festivals like Calle Libre or in the form of individual commissions - Muralia is always on the job when it comes to making Vienna a little more colorful.
In a world where conformity is often prized, the artists at Muralia show how inspiring creativity can be. Their projects are a sign that art should have a place not only in galleries, but also in public spaces. With this in mind: give street art a chance and let yourself be enchanted by the colorful murals in your city!
