The historical Hotel Stefanie at Taborstraße 12 celebrates its 425th anniversary with great pride. The traditional house on 8. July 1600 as "white rose". The hotel has the title of the oldest hotel in Vienna and has established itself as an integral part of the city over the centuries. Today it is led by the fourth generation of the Schick family - under the direction of Martin Schick , who has been steering the house for more than 30 years, and his son Alexander , who, as a fifth generation, is already in his father's footsteps.
The hotel was still outside of the city walls at the time during the founding period and attracted many travelers from the crown countries of the monarchy. Initially, in addition to cozy guest rooms, also offered 90 horseplays , which contributed to the popularity of travelers. In 1888 Carl Witzmann took over the house and named it in "Hotel Stefanie". Norbert Kettner , Vienna's tourism director, also praised the hotel as a "living piece of Viennese history". The Schick Hotels Group is now operating five houses in Vienna, which are about 170 employees and continue the long tradition of the Viennese hospitality.
