Köngen remains at the top: dramatic win against Böblingen!
On Saturday, TSV Köngen was able to successfully defend its top position in the national league. With a narrow 3-2 win against SV Böblingen, the team secured three important points and remains at the top of the table with 25 points, three points ahead of second place, SV Waldhausen. But the road to victory was anything but easy: After a comfortable 3-0 lead, the team had to get nervous in the last few minutes when Böblingen was able to reduce the score to 2-3 in the final phase thanks to Agim Deskaj and Cedric Hornung. The goals for Köngen were scored by Sven Dobler (12th minute), Yannik Kögler (before the break) and Marvin Durst (69th minute).
The crowd was quite remarkable with 150 fans loudly cheering on their team. Despite the final drama, Köngen showed a convincing performance for long stretches. The starting eleven included Köstle in goal, Durst, Panne, Schlotterbeck, Herz, Schadt, Hindennach, Lander, Brück, Dobler and Kögler.
Results of other games
In addition, FV Neuhausen celebrated an impressive 5-1 win against GSV Maichingen and thus consolidated their place in the top third of the table, now in sixth place. The goals for Neuhausen were scored by David Govorusic, who scored twice, as well as Markus Fickeisen, Nikita Schestakov and Giuliano D’Aleo. Coach Sascha Madeo was satisfied and described the performance as “outstanding”.

The table shows how competitive the league is, not least because of the recent results, which promise a tight race for the best places:

2 | SV Waldhausen | 22 |
3 | Eislingen | 21 |
4 | Sindelfingen | 16 |
