A new wind in the Döbling Private Clinic: Leading the future!
On November 18, 2025, an exciting realignment in management was announced at the Döbling private clinic and outpatient clinic in Vienna. Christiane Windsperger, former head of the private clinic, will also take over the management of the outpatient clinic. "Integrated care at the location is important to us. We offer a comprehensive medical spectrum," emphasizes Windsperger and clearly highlights the advantages of the facilities. Effective immediately, Fabian Demler will be the new administrative director of the Döbling Private Clinic, where he has worked since 2015.
The Döbling outpatient clinic plays a central role in Vienna's healthcare system and offers a variety of services, including prevention, diagnostics, aftercare and a fertility center. “Some of these services are even available to statutory health insurance patients with the e-card,” adds Windsperger. Mavie Med, the operator of the clinic with around 2,100 employees, is well positioned for the future with this strategic realignment.
Innovations in Surgery
Another highlight of the private clinic is the investment in the most modern medical technologies. From July 2025, the new da Vinci Xi surgical system will be used in the clinic, which enables precise and minimally invasive procedures. This technology is a valuable tool in the hands of experienced surgeons and promises numerous advantages for patients: “With keyhole surgery, we reduce tissue trauma and thus increase the recovery process,” enthuses Windsperger.
The da Vinci Xi offers numerous application options for various specialist areas such as urology, general and visceral surgery and gynecology. The high precision of the system in particular minimizes pain, shortens hospital stays and ensures better aesthetic results through smaller, inconspicuous scars. “This allows us to enable our patients to recover more quickly and use less painkillers,” says Windsperger.
Expertise and craftsmanship
The flagship surgical system is used exclusively by highly qualified surgeons who specialize in robot-assisted surgery. These experts bring a wealth of experience and are able to design complex procedures efficiently. “Robotic systems like the da Vinci Xi refine the minimally invasive method of laparoscopy and offer a 3D view of the surgical area, which improves precision,” explains a spokesperson for the clinic.
