In just a few days the time has come: From September 5th to 7th, 2025, the 13th edition of one of the most important international youth football tournaments will take place in Vienna as part of the SK Rapid U15 VARTA AG tournament. Young footballers will be put to the test at various locations in Hütteldorf and Leopoldstadt.
The first match day begins on September 5th in the “Körner Training Center powered by Varta” in Leopoldstadt and starts at 5:05 p.m. A test match against Venezia will also be played on this day. The remaining preliminary round games will follow on September 6th from 10 a.m. on the training grounds next to the Allianz Stadium in Hütteldorf. Finally, the eagerly awaited final takes place on September 7th at SK Rapid's home stadium, kicking off at 12:30 p.m.
Strong participants and exciting group division
A total of eight teams from the U15 age category are taking part in this event, including well-known clubs such as Hertha BSC, Dinamo Zagreb, Slavia Prague, Austria Wien, Admira Wacker, Ferencváros Budapest and Puskás Akadémia FC. The preliminary round groups are divided as follows:

| Ferencvaros Budapest | Puskas Akademia FC |
Last year's winner, Club Brugge, defeated FC Bayern Munich 3-1 in the final, while Austria Vienna took third place. SK Rapid has already won the tournament five times in recent years, and the high level of participation from renowned clubs promises exciting games and lots of goals.
An event with tradition
The U15 VARTA tournament has developed into a valuable tradition for SK Rapid since it was first held in 2013 in the former Gerhard Hanappi Stadium. Carsten Jancker and other people in charge of the club have created an event that not only enables international comparison, but also promotes team spirit and the talent of young players. Willi Schuldes, sporting director of the SK Rapid Academy, describes the event as a “beautiful indicator” for youth and appreciates the honor of welcoming well-known clubs from the European football landscape.
The tournament is open to all football fans free of charge and promises not only exciting encounters, but also the opportunity to win unforgettable moments and new friends. International youth tournaments offer an important platform for further development in sport and to gain valuable experience, as can also be read on Young Talents Group.
So be there when the young footballers demonstrate their skills and delight the spectators with exciting matches! Further information about the tournament and the teams can be found on the Rapid website and My district.
