New Neos District Club Meidling: Change and transparency for everyone!

In Meidling something is happening! The new Neos district club under the direction of Christian Volkmann has formed with great goals. As a club chairman, he places special emphasis on a policy that is visible, open, honest, honest and modern. "For me, politics begins with an open ear and the will to change," explains Volkmann. Using regular insights into his political everyday life on Instagram (@christian.volki.volkmann), he wants to involve the citizens: closely integrate into his work inside and meet you at district council and initiatives for more transparency at eye level.

The leading motto of the new club? "Create opportunities for the Meidling district". Volkmann appeals to all Meidlinger: Inside, to share their ideas to improve the district and actively contact. He wants to promote an open culture of conversation that also includes constructive cooperation with other parties.

A central goal of Neos in Meidling is the creation of a cycling infrastructure and the promotion of culture. Johanna, who has been active at NEOS for over a decade, not only has her commitment, but also valuable experience from district policy. "We want to make politics accessible to a larger group of Viennese," she emphasizes. The networking work that she has been doing since 2020 already shows first successes.

Important projects on which the NEOS politicians work:

• Cultural focus: naming the Maria Lassnig Park, return of the media art of art "a moment", as well as the development of a digital cultural calendar.
• Building committee: redesign of the centrifagration and revision of the "Master plan go Margareten".

The new buildings and transport infrastructure in Meidling must meet the needs of the population. In the last district representative elections in 2025, the SPÖ in Meidling recorded the most votes with 39.1%, followed by the ÖVP and the Greens. These results make it clear that it will be a major challenge for NEOS to pass these established parties and to convince the voters: inside of your own concept. But with a clear strategy that includes the improvement of the cycling infrastructure and cultural developments, the district club wants to take new ways.

The cooperation with the citizens: inside is the top priority. "We have a good knack for creative solutions that really make a difference," concludes Johanna, while Volkmann is determined to implement all of this. The NEOS in Meidling are ready to actively contribute to the district policy and to focus on this interaction with the population.
