In the future, it should bear the term "Erwin-Lanc-Hof" to honor the late SPÖ politician Erwin Lanc. This decision was made at the most recent meeting of the district council of Margaret, where the proposal of the SPÖ was majority, despite concerns on the part of the Greens and NEOs and a voice from the KPÖ/left that spoke out against the renaming. The deputy district manager Christoph Lipinski from the SPÖ approved the name change.

Erwin Lanc was a formative figure in Austrian politics. Born on May 17, 1930 in Vienna, he lived an eventful life as a bank employee and politician of the Social Democratic Party of Austria. From 1960 to 1983 he brought it to various ministerial posts, including Minister of Transport, Inner and Foreign Affairs. He was also president of the UN anti-torture convention and a member of the Margaretner SPÖ. After he died on March 29, 2025, his life's work now occurs through the renaming of the high -rise building.
