Wienliebe Festival 2025: Experience culinary and culture at Rathausplatz!
This year's #wienliebe festival, a festival for all the senses, invites you to the town hall square from September 18th to 21st, 2023. Mayor Michael Ludwig describes the event not only as a celebration of Vienna's colorful culture, but also as a declaration of love for the city and its people. Entry is free and promises not only culinary delights, but also a rich cultural program.
This year the festival will be held for the second time, after the first edition at the end of May 2022 was a complete success. The program includes almost 40 hours of entertainment on two stages enriched with performances by artists. On the opening day you can look forward to performances by Florence Arman and the band Lusterboden, among others. Friday is all about new Viennese music with artists like Lukas Oscar and Rose May Alaba. On Saturday, music history is celebrated with the Original Falco Band, while the last day is dedicated to the waltz - visitors have the opportunity to shake a leg themselves!
Culinary highlights
An absolute highlight of the festival is the culinary diversity presented by six famous restaurateurs. The offer includes:
- Bitzinger: Käsekrainer, Bratwurst und Hotdogs.
- Gerstner K. u. K. Hofzuckerbäckerei: Apfelstrudel, Petit Fours, hausgemachtes Eis und Kaffee.
- Leberkas-Pepi: Ofenwarmer Leberkäse mit frischem Gebäck.
- Plachutta: Tafelspitz und Wiener Schnitzel vom Kalb.
- Schweizerhaus: Knusprige Stelze mit frisch gezapftem Budweiser-Bier.
- Zum Schwarzen Kameel: Wiener Heurigenkultur mit kalten Heurigenschmankerl und herrlichen Weinen.
In addition, the Ottakringer brewery will offer freshly tapped beer specialties that are guaranteed to provide refreshment.
Opening times and specials
The festival has the following opening times:
- Donnerstag: 14 bis 20 Uhr
- Freitag und Samstag: 10 bis 22 Uhr
- Sonntag: 10 bis 18 Uhr
Members of the advantage club receive a 20 percent discount on food and drinks on site. A good opportunity to not only please your stomach, but also save your wallet!
A gourmet market in the town hall park completes the experience with handmade products and regional food from twelve exhibitors. One or two lively comments from the sellers also contribute to the harmonious atmosphere - the shopping experience here becomes a gourmet festival.
