Christmas magic on the water: Advent trips with the Twin City Liner!
The winter magic is coming to Vienna again: From November 28, 2025, the Twin City Liner will again offer the popular Advent trips between Vienna and Bratislava. These trips not only offer a convenient way to travel to the festive Christmas markets in the Slovakian capital, but also an unforgettable experience on the water.
The Advent trips are available until December 21, 2025 and take place on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. The ship starts from Schwedenplatz in Vienna at 10:30 a.m. and reaches Bratislava at 11:45 a.m. The return journey takes place at 4:30 p.m., so visitors have enough time to explore the charming Christmas markets.
Prices and discounts
Prices vary depending on the service selected. Tickets cost per route and person:
- 39 Euro für das Hauptdeck (Economy)
- 54 Euro für die Captain’s Lounge
- 25 Euro für das limitierte Red Ticket
Children between 2 and 11 years travel for half price, while the little ones under 2 years of age can travel for free when accompanied by an adult. Christmas market in Bratislava
A highlight of the trip is without a doubt the Christmas market in Bratislava, which is characterized by arts and crafts stalls, culinary delights and festive performances. In addition to the main market, there are also numerous other markets in various places in the city that invite you to browse and enjoy.
A special tip: Access to the Christmas market near Bratislava Castle can be achieved either by taking the historic slow train or by taking a leisurely 20-minute walk. Here Advent becomes a very special experience.
