FAC is fighting for promotion: Duel against the Young Violets expected!

Next Sunday, November 12th, 2025, there will be an exciting duel in Hopfengasse! The Floridsdorfer Athletiksport-Club (FAC) meets the Young Violets Austria Vienna at 10:30 a.m. Things could hardly be going better for the FAC: The team is currently four games unbeaten, with three wins and one draw under their belt. The highlight of the most recent series of successes was the convincing 2-0 away win against table leaders SKN St. Pölten, from which FAC was able to benefit enormously as they reduced the gap to the top of the table to seven points. Second-placed Admira Wacker is also within reach, just three points behind.

The current situation in the league makes the scenario for the next game all the more exciting. Head coach Sinan Bytyqi is pleased with the correct implementation of the training instructions and a strong defense that has laid the foundation for success. The FAC is currently in fifth place and will keep an eye on promotion based on their past performances. Particularly worth mentioning is the situation surrounding SKU Amstetten, which moved up to third place due to a game ranking because a SV Stripfing game did not take place due to insolvency. This means that all of this team's games are likely to be canceled, including the match against FAC scheduled for the week after next.

Preparation for the big game

This unexpected development means that the FAC has a longer international break until the next important game against Admira Wacker on November 28th. Coach Bytyqi admits that this time must be used to prepare optimally. “We are trying to organize a test match to keep the rhythm going,” explains the coach, who also emphasizes that the matches during this time are crucial for the players’ form.

In the upcoming game against the Young Violets it will be important to continue their successful form. The Young Violets, even as a young and up-and-coming team with an average age of 20.7 years, are a serious opponent, even if they have been waiting for a win for five games. Bytyqi emphasizes that consistency and willingness to run will be the key to success. “We have to keep the intensity of the game high to keep up the momentum of the last few weeks,” he added.

The atmosphere in the stadium will certainly be heated and fans can look forward to a thrilling game. The FAC has made a name for itself in recent weeks and hopes to secure the next important points on Sunday.
