The signing of Simon Filipovic, a 21-year-old defensive talent, could turn out to be a real stroke of luck. Filipovic has signed a contract until the summer of 2028 and, at 1.95 meters, has the necessary physical presence to start as a central defender in the ADMIRAL 2nd league. His path began at ASV Vösendorf, led through the academies of Admira Wacker and SK Rapid before moving to KSV 1919 in the summer of 2024. There he was able to gain his first experience as a cooperation player in the regional league, where he was in the Falken squad three times and collected his first minutes of play. Managing Director Sport Lukas Fischer emphasizes the defender's great development potential, which can be of great importance for the FAC's defense.

But Filipovic is not the only newcomer who provides a breath of fresh air. Niklas Schneider also found his way to the FAC. The 21-year-old defensive player, who currently comes from FCM Flyeralarm Traiskirchen, will be tied to the club until the summer of 2026. Schneider, who comes from the Weinviertel and began his football career at USV Schrick, has earned a regular place since moving to Traiskirchen in 2022. He played 27 competitive games last season and is extremely optimistic that he can continue to grow at FAC.

The first summer newcomer

The FAC has gained another great talent in Edin Huskovic, a 19-year-old left-back. Huskovic comes from First Vienna FC and brings a lot of flexibility to the team on the left side and in central midfield. With a contract until the summer of 2028, he will certainly be a valuable addition to the team. His career took him via Kremser SC and FK Austria Wien to Wiener Austria, where he celebrated his debut in the fighting team in 2023. Fischer emphasizes Huskovic's potential and technical strength, which could help him quickly adapt to the new environment.
