On Sunday night there was a disturbing incident at a gas station in Vienna-Favoriten. A 30-year-old Austrian threatened a group of young men between the ages of 16 and 20 with a kitchen knife. The incident occurred shortly after 4 a.m. at the gas station on Grenzackerstrasse, where the attacker chased the young men and loudly made threats. “I'll stab the next one,” he is said to have said before rushing towards the group Cosmo reported.
In a panic, the men abandoned their vehicle at the gas pump and fled by climbing over a fence. A few minutes later they flagged down a passing car, whose driver rushed to their aid. Meanwhile, the authorities were alerted. The police quickly arrived at the scene and temporarily arrested the perpetrator on site. The kitchen knife was found in his backpack and confiscated. The 30-year-old is now in police custody and has been reported for dangerous threats. Although he claimed the knife belonged to a friend and that he only had it with him for self-defense, police are treating the incident seriously.

The incident is particularly alarming because it occurred at the same gas station where a fatal attack occurred two months ago. Despite the worrying circumstances, police see no connection between these two events. The young men affected also reported that they heard the attacker's threats on the phone before the attack, which made the situation appear even more threatening.
