What a great success for the young photographer Tamar Auer from Metnitz! At this year's Vienna Photo Marathon, she prevailed among around 700 participants and took first place. Auer, who has only been working as a professional photographer for three years, impressively shows how a passion can become a profession. She was previously employed as a chemical laboratory technician in quality management before beginning her training as a photographer in 2020. Today she runs a small agency, offers photo editing and accounting services and has even trained as a make-up artist so she can style her models herself.

The photo marathon, which lasted 12 hours, presented the participants with exciting challenges: They had to creatively implement a total of 12 topics. Photographers only had one camera at their disposal - smartphones were taboo.
